The 10 somatic movement adventures in this Feldenkrais course will give you the space to discover yourself again, to trust your own-wise again, and to put your own-wise at the helm of your life. So that you can move with confidence, flow and passion again.

More than mere exercise, somatic movement is a call to return to embodiment, the wisdom of your body.

Some of the benefits are that you will improve your ways of moving and feel better through awareness, attention, and gentle, conscious movement variations that address your nervous system and body’s innate wisdom and self-regulating capacity for growth and healing.

What can I expect from these lessons?

I have carefully designed these 10 online classes to optimize the way your nervous system directs your body. I will verbally guide you through a number of movement variations and mindfulness and visualization exercises that will give you insight into what image you have created of yourself, subconsciously and consciously, and how that self-image guides your thinking and feeling and literally determines your motor skills and coordination in everyday activities such as standing, sitting, walking, lying down, etc.

By observing and feeling yourself from the inside, you learn how your bones, joints, muscles, fascia, and organs work together and give your nervous system information about your relationship with your environment, your (un)conscious thoughts, your emotions, and your inner knowing. Based on this cooperation, the nervous system makes a plan of action. By becoming aware of this you create the possibility of discovering more ease in being, more options in ‘doing’, and making other choices in moving, thinking, and feeling.

These lessons give you the freedom of movement, trust, passion, energy, and curiosity to create something beautiful with what you have and who you are.

“I believe our body is a mirror of our mental and emotional inner world. Our movement is guided by the sensations we experience and by the feelings and thinking that arise from them. Learn from your own wise how to optimally ‘feel’ what your needs are in this moment. And learn to act accordingly.

By becoming aware of how you physically support and organize yourself in everyday activities, you get to know your automatic habits and behavior. You learn to feel when you are “fighting” against your own wise, when you are harsh and judgmental towards your body, when you are doing activities with too much effort, and when you are in the “should” mode and therefore not listening enough to what your genuine needs are.

You will receive insight into how this can be a reflection of how you are mentally and emotionally in life. In what areas of your life do you ‘need’ to do things? Or do things ‘have to’ be done a certain way and there is little room to look at it from a different perspective? What parts of yourself are you constantly fighting with? Is your inner critic constantly talking? What have you come to believe about yourself there? In what aspects of your life are you working so hard that you have too little time and attention left over to meet your own emotional, physical, and spiritual needs?

My Feldenkrais classes help you explore in a playful and creative way how you can move in connection with your own wise, with ease and joy physically, mentally, and emotionally. Pingel’s lessons are always very enjoyable. Pingel lets you experience what you are actually doing when you move. What happens in your body when you make subtle movements and try to break free from your patterns and habits.
