Years ago I read this inspiring quote below from the founding father of The Feldenkrais Method:

For me, this is the essence of feeling in control, and balanced. And exactly for this reason, I signed up for the 4 year Feldenkrais teacher training in 2005. And what an inspiring journey this was. As a dancer a world of possibilities in expressing and moving opened up for me. And most valuable, I switched from an overwhelmed, anxious girl with compulsive behaviors to a woman who feels attuned to her body, who feels in charge of what she wants, is able to move with ease and confidence in all directions physically and emotionally, set boundaries, and consciously choose joy, vibrancy, peacefulness, and wellbeing. I discovered how to use the physical movement of bouncing, to bounce forward mentally, and emotionally in an effortless way. Ever since it has helped me to regain my playfulness and creativity as much as it has helped me to stay out of long-lasting tension and pain.

In this week we will explore the physical, emotional, and mental patterns of holding and letting go, bouncing in all directions, finding center and dynamic alignment

How does it work?
Resilience is a whole being affair. How do we emotionally, mentally, physically, and spiritually respond to any given situation? When we feel free to bounce along and choose the easiest direction in this movement, we experience a sensation of freedom and fluidity. What we actually experience is that forces travel freely through our bones and joints and that muscles, work effortlessly together to facilitate movement. That the mind’s intention is aligned with our emotions, feelings and physical movement. What we also experience is that we have options to respond to our environment, meaning we can adjust with ease. This gives us a deep feeling of trust in ourselves, and it attunes us to our inner strength and sovereignty.. We feel able to cope with the situation with grace and playfulness.
This quiets our minds and calms our autonomous nervous system. The brain can grow and expand its possibilities to better self-organize, and rewire itself. When we change the physical pattern, we change how we sense, feel, and think as well. The body is the way in, movement is the tool.

This Feldenkrais week empowers you to take back inner leadership. You will heal long-lasting stress, tension, and tiredness through deep insight into what you do, and how you can do differently to be more present with yourself.

What to expect?
Every day we will dive into movement and creativity through ‘Awareness through Movement’ exploration, and creative process. All workshops are outside in our tranquil olive grove.
I will use a combination of creative assignments, gentle movement exploration, visualization, imagery, and sensory suggestions to help you become aware of your emotional, physical, and mental patterns. We will spend time in stillness and walk in nature.
Resilience is at the heart of every being! Nature shows its inspiring way to bounce back and forth with creativity and adaptability. When we become quiet and allow curiosity to guide our senses, we tap into nature’s wise lessons for unwinding our stressed nervous systems, and tight bodies We start to reconnect with the world in, below, and around us, and recalibrate ourselves for joy, and inner peace.
This week is suitable for women of all ages, regardless of experience or condition.
The retreat starts on Sundayday night with a welcome diner and circle. The next Saturday morning will be the departure. There will be 2 sessions a day, with exception of Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning. Friday night we will have a farewell party after diner.
All retreats include:
- Lunch, dinner, (non-alcoholic) drinks & snacks
- All morning and afternoon group sessions
- Daily pick up at a meeting point in Lanjarón
Not included in the price of € 590 are:
- Your travel costs
- Transportation from and to Malaga Airport
- Cancellation insurance
- Travel insurance
- 1-1 sessions
- Trips to the beach & the mountains
In the form, you can indicate if you want to book accommodation with us (limited space). We offer the possibility to share our cabana, bell tent or our 1-person tent at an additional cost. Guests staying on our land share shower and toilet facilities. We serve breakfast for guests who stay overnight with us.
Or you can arrange your own stay. There are many friendly priced Airbnb’s and hotels in the area. There is a variety of choices from very basic to luxury accommodation. We can assist you.
In the form, you can also indicate if you want to arrange transportation to and from the airport through us. Please note that we will only pick you up around the end of the afternoon. Drop-off time at the airport depends on the person with the earliest flight. A one-way trip from/to Malaga airport varies from € 70,- to € 18,- depending on the number of persons in the car. You will pay directly to the driver.
Or you can arrange your own transport. There are quite some options from renting a car to taking a bus.
You will receive a payment request for a deposit within 24 hours after booking. Only when this amount is received, your place is reserved.
Cancellation free of charge is possible until 1 month before the retreat!
Our cancellation policy:
- Up to 1 month before the retreat we refund the total deposit.
- Up to 3 weeks before the retreat: 75% refund.
- Till 2 weeks before the retreat 50 % refund.
- Up to 1 week before the retreat starts 25% refund.
- Less than 7 days before the retreat starts no refund of payment
We recommend cancellation insurance! In the rare case that we have to cancel the retreat due to force majeure, we will arrange suitable replacement where possible and in consultation. In case of cancellation on our part, you will receive your payment to us back. We do not refund airfare and accommodation costs.
