Years ago I read this inspiring quote below from the founding father of The Feldenkrais Method:
“If you know what you are doing, you can do what you want.” Moshe Feldenkrais
For me, this is the essence of feeling empowered, and free. And exactly for this reason, I signed up for the 4 year Feldenkrais teacher training in 2005. And what an inspiring journey this was. As a dancer a world of possibilities in expressing and moving opened up for me. And most valuable, I switched from a self-hatred girl with eating disorders, social anxiety, stress, and a poor self-image to a woman that felt confident, peaceful, vibrant, and at home in her body. I discovered what it means to move with grace and sensuality. To embody wonder, joy, and connection. And it has helped me to stay out of long-lasting tension and pain ever since.

In this week we will awaken and re-establish the physical, emotional, and mental patterns of joy. We will explore:
- How to embody the emotional pattern of joy.
- How to mindfully attune to joy
- How our whole self can move with joy.

How does it work?
Joy is both a sensation, feeling, and physical motor pattern. Our brain can relearn this pattern and rewire itself in favor of this pattern. When we change the physical pattern, we change how we sense, feel, and think. The body is the way in, movement is the tool.

This Feldenkrais week empowers you to become your own healer. You will heal long-lasting stress, tension, and anxiety through deep insight into what you do, and how you can do differently to ‘un-hurt’ yourself.

What to expect?
Every day we will dive into movement and creativity through ‘Awareness through Movement’ exploration, and creative process. All workshops are outside in our tranquil olive grove.
I will use a combination of creative assignments, gentle movement exploration, visualization, imagery, and sensory suggestions to help you become aware of your emotional, physical, and mental patterns. We will spend time in stillness and walk in nature.
Joy is all around you! Nature has its way to express joy. When we become quiet and allow wonder to guide our senses, we tap into nature’s wise lessons for unwinding our anxious nervous systems, connect with the world in and around us, and recalibrate ourselves for joy, and self-love.
This week is suitable for women of all ages, regardless of experience or condition.
All retreats are including:

- All morning and afternoon group sessions
- Daily pick-up at a meeting point in Lanjarón
