All retreats organised by Move into Joy are in essence about building profound self-awareness in our physical, emotional and mental bodies. Reconnecting to our deep essence and drives. What moves you physically, mentally, spiritually, what touches you emotionally? And is it the move you want to make in your life? Is it in alignment with your soul, your purpose in life.
Many of our decisions are based on avoiding earlier pain, sorrow, grief, anger and other emotions that we have pushed out of the light. By ignoring, not acknowledging what truly lives in us we block ourselves to fully live. More so we make our bodies sick, we suffer from anxiety patterns, we walk into the risks to flight in addictions, compulsory patterns, depression, numbness and more.
How we work
At Move into Joy, we help you reconnect to all that is you and build a nourishing emotional and mental relationship with yourself and your body. Like detectives, we investigate and explore deep belief-systems, stress, anxiety patterns and feelings that may come from our early childhood or even before and are often the root cause for stagnation in our lives, relations, work, etc.
As many of these very old belief-systems, feelings and emotions come from a stage in our lives that was before speech and words we choose to work with, silence, energy, somatic movement, and expressive dance & arts processes. Since so many of our emotions and thought store themselves in our physical body, movement, dance, and energy work addressing the chakra system form profound tools to connect with trauma, grief, anxiety, and stress on cell-level and release freeze and tension there. Restoring our inner movement and resilience.
Before we can deeply address these anxiety and stress blockages in the body we need to create a safe container in ourselves. For this, we address the nervous system and help her to regulate before recreate and repattern.
This type of work takes time and patience. No quick fixes here and yes there is profound healing. To give a kick start to this self-awareness- and healing process we start with a gathering in the form of a 7 or 10-day retreat. During this week we awaken to our body and the scattered parts and forgotten places in ourselves. We deep dive into our souls. We re-own our capacities to cry, scream, grief and laugh. As there is no such thing as happiness without the counterpart of grief. To life and empower ourselves from our hearts we have to embrace all our emotions without judgment. To be daring we need to step in our vulnerability. To be in connection with our truth we need to open and melt the shields and masks away.
Although this may all sound like a very sad week it is my experience that opening to intense emotions of grief opened me also to the very intense emotions of joy. A week that brings together laughter and tears and leaves us with a sense of profound aliveness and humanity…
Our retreats vary from individual to small group retreats. The small group retreats might gather around a specific theme whereas the individual retreats are specifically tailored for someone’s individual question.
The retreats turn all the switches and therefore a very transformational providing profound change. It is not the end though, but the beginning of a life process and as they say in climbing the Everest bring you to the point of return.
After the retreats we offer online programs, guiding and coaching to help you move on in your process of healing and re owning your zest of life.
