This somatic coaching retreat offers a gentle and profound holistic, neuro-somatic approach to start releasing long-term stress and tension, persistent limiting core beliefs, emotional overwhelm, and anxiety in body and mind.

It will guide you to find greater awareness, ease, peace, self-connection, self-empowerment, joy, and quality in your life through deeply engaging daily somatic energetic bodywork sessions, nervous system-regulating Feldenkrais neuro-somatic movement coaching, trauma-informed NIA sensation-based dance movement play, and creative energetic-somatic processes.

The daily ‘hands-on sessions of somatic energetic bodywork are powerful sessions with everything in them to help transform neuro-physical movement patterns and mental and emotional habits that limit mobility, ease, release, a sense of joy, and vitality.

The daily NIA dance sessions give you direction to release stuck physical-emotional tension and reconnect with your playful, uninhibited infant mind space.

In the two somatic-energetic coaching sessions that are part of this 7-day retreat, we dive deep into the underlying limiting patterns that maintain chronic tension patterns in your body

In addition, our cook provides meals carefully prepared to restore gut health and digestive well-being.

Pingel’s sessions are off the map good. It took me 4 days to integrate one of her body-work sessions on me. Bringing more than just a method to the way she works, her dexterity in awareness, intuition and skills let my body transform and come home to harmony where it was ready, willing and able. Healing can be very joyful. You don’t have to go to the bottom of the well to find release. Our body and nervous system have a built-in and self-regulating self-healing program that only needs to be acknowledged and trusted.

From the moment you are born, your central nervous system develops itself through movement, play, curiosity, and discovery.

This organic neuro-physical learning is the foundation of the Feldenkrais method and the NIA holistic dance movement practice that I offer in this retreat.

Instead of imposing movements and postures, I invite you to play with movement ideas arising from everyday activities, sensations, emotions, thoughts, visualizations, nature, and energetic qualities.

We engage with your nervous system and strengthen your sense of self through imagination, exploration, sensory awareness, and movement creativity.

As a result, you develop a fuller understanding of yourself. This helps you recognize underlying limiting emotional, mental, and physical habits and create new powerful ways to move through life effortlessly, resiliently, and full of energy.

You will regain profound insight into how your nervous system programs itself and how to change limiting physical, emotional, and mental patterns through compassionate attention, self-awareness, and sensory-based and mindful movement exercises that harness the plasticity of the nervous system.

Combining self-awareness, movement, exploration, expressive arts, mindfulness, curiosity, and playfulness, we will tap into the nervous system’s capacity for endless learning, growth, and rewiring.

Usually the more dynamic, heart-opening NIA dance movement sessions take place in the morning, followed by a somatic, energetic bodywork session that grounds you firmly in your being, regulates your nervous system, and transforms limiting neurophysical patterns. These sessions furthermore guide you to release emotional charge.

The two energetic- somatic creative coaching sessions that are part of this retreat, guide you to explore your inner landscape and examine limiting attention and behavioral habits as well as the restrictive core beliefs that underlie your patterns in feeling, emotion, sensing, thinking, making meaning, and moving (through life). Expressive art self-inquiry is woven throughout most sessions.
